Plain-English explanation of how Padelbets handles your data under GDPR.

The short version
Padelbets.eu is a static information site. We don't require you to register, we don't take payments, and we don't host user accounts. We collect a minimal amount of data — described in detail below — and we don't sell or share it.
Who we are
Padelbets.eu ("we", "us", "the site") is the data controller for any personal data processed via this site. The site is operated from the United Kingdom and is subject to GDPR (UK GDPR for UK readers; EU GDPR for EEA readers) and the Data Protection Act 2018. What data we collect
1. Server logs (essential)
When you visit a page, our hosting server logs the request: IP address, user-agent string, the URL requested, the time, and the HTTP response code. These are technical logs used for security (detecting attacks, abuse, scraping) and for diagnosing errors. Logs are retained for 14 days and are not used to build a profile of you.
2. Affiliate click logs (essential)
When you click through to a bookmaker via one of our affiliate links, the affiliate network or bookmaker may set tracking cookies and record the click. Padelbets does not control these cookies— they are set by the destination, not by us. The bookmaker's privacy policy applies once you reach their site.
3. Analytics — currently not in use
As of May 2026 we do not run any analytics platform on this site. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom. If we add analytics in future, we will:
- Update this policy with details and an effective date,
- Choose a privacy-respecting provider (e.g. Plausible) where feasible, and
- Add a cookie consent banner if the analytics requires non-essential cookies.
4. Email correspondence
If you email us via the addresses on our contact page, we'll have your email address and the message you sent. We use that to reply, and we don't add you to any mailing list. Email threads are retained for 2 years for support continuity, then deleted.
Cookies
Padelbets does not set any cookies in your browser from this domain. If a future feature requires cookies (e.g. saving your preferred country on the streaming guide), we'll update the cookies page and add a consent mechanism where required.
Third-party cookiesmay be set when you click an affiliate link to a bookmaker — those are governed by the bookmaker's privacy policy, not ours.
Lawful basis for processing
- Server logs: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — operating and securing the website.
- Email correspondence: Legitimate interest in responding to you.
Sharing your data
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties. Server logs may be shared with our hosting provider (FastVPS) under their data processing agreement and are encrypted in transit.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you (subject access request).
- Request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Request that we erase your data ("right to be forgotten") where we don't have an overriding lawful reason to keep it.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@padelbets.eu. We respond within the statutory 30-day window. There's no charge for reasonable requests.
Data security
The site is served over HTTPS using a Let's Encrypt certificate. Server logs are stored on access-controlled infrastructure with regular OS-level security updates. Email is handled through TLS-encrypted providers.
Children
Padelbets is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle data — adding analytics, changing the retention period of logs, or starting a mailing list — we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend bookmarking it if you're a regular reader.
